How can you tell which direction an emergency vehicle is coming from when at an intersection and the white lights are on?

Frank – if you are at an intersection and the lights are blinking, the emergency vehicle is coming through the cross-street. If the light is steady, it means its coming behind you or from the other direction. Stay safe.

I have an ice dam at my house and it is causing all sorts of water damage in my house. The drywall is bubbling in the basement and there is water dripping off my windows upstairs. Got any recommendations?

Hey Thrifty – sorry to hear about the ice dam. They are a headache. We recommend you first contact your insurance company and file a claim. They will send someone out to access the damage. Also, be sure to move all valuables and items away from the water. Best remedies against ice dams is to be sure to remove all snow from your roof.

A guy almost caused me to hit the median on 35W this afternoon. Crazy reckless drivers! I wish there was some way to report them!

Hey Ron. We feel your pain and we’re glad you didn’t end up eating the median. Interestingly enough, anyone can report a drunken or reckless driver in Minnesota. All you need to do is fill out this online form: https://www.dps.state.mn.us/patrol/unsafe/report.htm. The State Patrol monitors it.

Now, this is a frustrating problem! The solution is easier than you think. Most dispensers are engineered to automatically cause the top roll to drop down when the bottom one is depleted. But, this has not been my experience. To cause the top roll to drop down, simply push down on the empty roll at the bottom. The top roll should automatically drop into place.
